Nuance Communications today announced the release of Dragon Dictation [App Store, Free for a limited time], a new voice transcription application for the iPhone. The application, which relies on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition engine to transcribe voice input to text, allows users to easily send transcribed text to new e-mail or text messages or save it to the clipboard for pasting into other applications.
Is it you talking? Or is it the alcohol? I’d like to fall asleep with one of you, just wish you knew which one.
Promises
If you promise someone something, I hope you keep that promise. In making a promise, you may not realize what the other person feels and how they may be affected by your promises. A counteract of the effects of a broken promise can be devastating, kind of like why I’m up at 1:40am typing on this blog, not sure who will read it, but if you do read this, please don’t make promises you can’t keep. For society, it will make the world a better place. False hope, crushed dreams, opinions shattered, no good.
Goodnight.
Liars
I can’t stand liars. Someone I know just told a lie to me, and it’s really bugging me. The issue is, it’s not like smoking weed or like driving without a seatbelt, those things can just happen once. When a liar tells even the smallest like like “I live in a blue house” when it’s really green, and they can feel no problem doing it, why would they tell the truth about something that might MEAN something, like “I did NOT cheat on my wife.” Really bugs me. I’d have to say that is my BIGGEST pet peeve in people. Because lying can lead to so many worse things, and hurt people, it’s terrible.
Good day.

Kevin: Sure?
Lauren: Princess is John of course.
Sometimes I’m really happy that I comment on things. So that one day I can read an exchange like this. Thank you Eric Striffler and Kevin Spellman.
Yet another angry post
You know what REALLY pisses me off about people who interpret the Bible and apply it to the present day though? The fact that the King James interpretation (basically the standard English version of the Bible) IS WRONG! IT WASN’T TRANSLATED CORRECTLY! When I was studying Ancient Greek, I translated certain passages from the Greek to English. Some of these words, especially with the time difference, just don’t translate into the modern way that we perceive words. Oh how this drives me crazy.
I, too, don’t understand why these people feel the need to stop others from living as they like. It’s not affecting them! I suppose though, as Christians, some extremists may feel that stopping something they see as “sinful” as morally obligatory.
Moral of the story: people are stupid and don’t think for themselves, and I can’t take it.
I was walking down to CVS today, and on the edge of campus a group of people were protesting homosexuality. I paticularly enjoyed the sign “Homosexuality is a sin. Christ can save you!” People like this make me so mad.
Everyone is entitled to their own religious beliefs, to practice their own faith, and to worship their own God. However, everyone is also entitled to their own choice of lifestyle, to live and love whoever they choose. I realize that the religious fanatics in this country have every right to protest homosexuality, to voice their opinion of what is “evil” and “unnatural”. But is it really necessary?
If anyone asked me what religion I am, I would answer Christian. I was raised Episcopalian, and went to church almost every week up until college. I went through church school, first communion, and confirmation. I haven’t read the bible cover to cover, but I think I’ve covered most of it over the past 19 years. Yet, even from a young age, I realized that the bible is not too be taken literally. I think I’ve said this before on tumblr, but it’s impossible to take a religious text from thousands of years ago, and apply it 100% literally to life now. Not to mention so many people pick and choose what to take literally. It doesn’t make sense. I’d hope that, if there is a God, he/she would want us to have progressed as a society, and to accept others for whatever lifestyle they have. Religions preach love and acceptance, not close-mindedness and hatred. Where does anyone come off making people feel horrible for who they love?
And if you really have such a problem with it, why can’t you just live and let live? Are other peoples decisions REALLY hurting you? Or affecting you in any way?
you know the first right in the constitution is freedom of expression, dont you all?
